Noa by HERE Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 June 2026

Noa by HERE ("Noa", "we", "us", or "our") is a wellbeing support tool created to help adults, educators, providers, caregivers, and families find mindful activities, calming tools, journalling prompts, creative wellbeing ideas, and related resources from HERE's proprietary activity library.

Noa is not a medical, mental health, crisis, diagnosis, or emergency service. It does not replace professional care, clinical judgement, safeguarding procedures, or emergency support.

Who Noa Is For

Noa is designed primarily for adults who support children, teens, and families, including parents, caregivers, educators, wellbeing providers, and community professionals.

Children and young people should use Noa with the involvement of a parent, caregiver, educator, or trusted adult. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information when you use Noa:

  • Email signup information, such as the email address you provide to access Noa, download resources, or receive updates.
  • Usage information, such as whether someone submits a prompt, clicks a suggested prompt, opens an activity, asks for more ideas, or returns for another question.
  • Prompt processing information. The words you type into Noa are processed so Noa can suggest relevant activities. We do not intentionally link those prompts to your email address, mailing list record, or personal identity.
  • Privacy-safe prompt history, described below.
  • Technical and performance information, such as page views, device type, browser type, approximate location, performance metrics, and logs needed to operate, secure, and improve Noa.

We ask that you do not type names, addresses, private medical information, safeguarding details, emergency information, or other sensitive personal details into Noa.

How Prompt History Works

When someone uses Noa, we may keep a privacy-conscious record of the request to help us understand what kinds of support people are looking for and how well Noa is matching people with useful activities.

This record is not designed to identify you. It may include:

  • a shortened and redacted version of the prompt
  • a randomly generated anonymous session ID
  • broad categories, such as topic, audience, or support type
  • the activity titles Noa returned
  • whether the request came from a typed prompt, suggested prompt, or follow-up action

We do not intentionally store prompt history with your email address, name, mailing list profile, or signup details.

We aim to remove or mask emails, phone numbers, links, addresses, and other obvious personal details from prompt logs. Still, automated redaction is not perfect, so please avoid including private or identifying information in prompts.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • provide Noa's activity suggestions and support experience
  • allow access to the free chat experience and activity downloads
  • understand what people are asking for so we can improve Noa and HERE's resources
  • monitor site performance, reliability, and security
  • understand aggregate engagement, such as signups, prompts, activity opens, and download interest
  • send updates or communications if you have signed up to receive them
  • respond to requests, troubleshoot issues, and maintain the service

We do not sell personal information.

HERE's Activity Library and AI-Assisted Processing

Noa's activities, wellbeing materials, activity packs, and resource content are created and owned by HERE.

Noa may use AI-assisted infrastructure to help interpret a prompt and match it with relevant resources from HERE's proprietary activity library. The AI-assisted processing does not create, own, or replace HERE's activity library. Noa's role is to help surface relevant HERE activities and resources in response to what someone is asking for.

Service Providers

We use trusted service providers to help operate Noa. These providers may support website hosting, secure infrastructure, analytics, performance monitoring, logging, email signup and mailing list management, prompt processing, activity file storage or delivery, and website embedding or page hosting where Noa appears inside another website.

These providers are used only for purposes needed to operate, improve, protect, and support Noa. We do not share information with service providers so they can sell personal information.

Email Signups

If you provide your email address, we may use it to:

  • unlock access to Noa or activity downloads
  • send updates, resources, or related communications
  • manage our mailing list and understand signup activity

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us.

Your email signup record is not intentionally connected to your prompt history.

Activity Downloads and External Resources

Some activities or resources may open as downloadable files or links hosted through file delivery providers. When you open an activity or external resource, the provider of that link may process technical information related to the request, such as browser, device, IP address, or access time, according to its own privacy practices.

Children and Teens

Noa includes resources intended to support work with children, teens, and families, but the Noa chat experience is intended for use by adults or with adult involvement.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

If a prompt suggests immediate danger, self-harm, suicide, abuse, or another urgent safeguarding concern, Noa may provide a crisis or emergency support message. Noa is not monitored as an emergency service.

Data Retention

We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, such as operating Noa, improving resources, maintaining logs, handling email subscriptions, complying with legal obligations, and protecting the service.

Prompt history is intended for product learning and improvement, not for identifying individual users.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please do not share sensitive, identifying, clinical, emergency, or confidential information through Noa.

Your Choices

You can:

  • unsubscribe from emails at any time
  • ask us to delete your email from our mailing list
  • ask us to review, correct, or delete personal information connected to you where reasonably possible
  • avoid entering personal or sensitive details into prompts
  • stop using Noa at any time

Because prompt history is not intentionally connected to your email or identity, we may not always be able to locate a specific prompt history entry connected to you.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Noa develops. If we make meaningful changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
